My ‘Hinching’ Obession*

Unless you have been living under a rock, or don’t use Instagram, you will not understand the obsession with ‘Hinching’ or Mrs Hinch. When I first heard about her, I was like how sad can someone be to post videos of themselves cleaning their home; I was very wrong. As soon as I watched her Instagram story, I generally was surprised how down to earth she was, and I think this is what has made her an Instagram sensation. She is completely relatable and just seems like such a nice person; she is someone you want to be best friends with.

Anyway, since my boyfriend and I have lived in our home together, I have been completely obsessed with cleaning and making sure our home looks presentable. Right, throw it back 10-years ago, and you wouldn’t think I would be like this (right mum and dad)? My childhood room was a complete mess, and it gives me anxiety to know I lived like that for so long.

I feel like Hinching is more of a lifestyle now, I have become obsessed with buying fabric softener, Zoflora and even cloths (shout out to the Minky M Cloth). I feel like cleaning is one of my favourite hobbies, and I generally enjoy it, even slightly addicted? (hey, it’s better than being addicted to drugs)…Nothing gives me joy, quite like knowing our home is spotless, but the process can be super irritating. Rooms like the bathroom seem to get dirty so quickly, and I only have time to do one big clean a week and maybe a cheeky one mid-week if I have time.

I think the key to cleaning is to have the right products to do so, and there are some that just make everything so much easier! I never have a lot of money to spend on the more expensive products, so I try and get everything whilst it is on offer. However, I have also always got my products from the supermarket, and it never crossed my mind to have a look at They have such a great range of products some even used by Mrs Hinch herself like Zoflora, Dettol All in One, Flash, Cif and much more. I was lucky enough to be able to choose a range of products that I wanted and got some of my regulars and some I never got the chance to try. As you can imagine, everything was cheap, and the products I picked were either £1 or £2 (I managed to get everything in the picture above for £25!)

I have no idea why it never crossed my mind to get my cleaning products from somewhere other than my supermarket; I would say for convenience, but when I did my order, it was delivered the next day! The website is super easy to use, and has everything you could possibly want to get your Hinch on! My only criticism would be that I didn’t have a delivery note in the box, but everything was packaged well, and there were no spills.

Over the weekend, I used loads of the products I received and nearly loved them all; the only one I didn’t get on with with the stainless steel wipes, which I used on my toaster and kettle and it didn’t do a lot! Of course, I loved the Zoflora, CIF, Flash and Dettol.

This might sound like a really lame post, but cleaning is something I really enjoy, and I really do love knowing my house is completely spotless, and knowing I can get the products I love so much cheaper is great! I never really think about buying household products online, but this is definitely a retailer I would use again!

Mrs Hinch is probably one of my favourite Instagram accounts to follow; she hasn’t let her fame go to her head, she is so down to earth and is so grateful to all of her followers; I just need to get my hands on her book now!

Have you heard of Mrs Hinch or enjoy cleaning as much as me? Let me know in the comments below!
